You may be surprised as to how many ingredients you already have in your home. To make this recipe, you will need:
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup witch hazel
- 1 tsp gylcerin
- 1 tbsp vodka or alcohol
Essential oils:
- 30 drops geranium or bergamot
- 30 drops citronella, or cedar to specifically target ticks
- 10 drops lemon
- 10 drops eucalyptus
- 10 drops rosemary
- 10 drops lavender
Once you have rounded up all of your ingredients, many of which can be found at your local store, you are going to mix them together very well. You can do this by shaking the container you’ve put them in. You can funnel them one by one into a reusable glass spray bottle.
Glass bottles are more eco-friendly than plastic ones. While this is a cheap and fast remedy that actually works, you may want to consider hiring a mosquito exterminator if you feel that the mosquito population on your land is getting out of control.
