Bed bugs are a devious species of insect that feed on the blood of humans. They’re attracted to our warm body temperatures and hide in our mattresses until the nighttime. They leave itchy marks and are an all-around disgusting pest. Luckily, pest control specialists are available and make it their business to exterminate the nuisance.
They are often hiding in the seams of the mattress. The pest controller will physically remove as many as possible. He uses a special kind of tape to physically grab them, and then he will send them away to be incinerated.
The pest controller inspects the mattress and notices trace amounts of blood left behind by the bed bugs. He knows that they find humans by the carbon dioxide we exhale, and so knows to look for them at the head of the mattress. He finds them in the slats and starts grabbing them.
He dismantles the rest of the bed to do a thorough job, and then he sprays the room with a special fumigation that isn’t harmful to humans. He physically grabs them first because it takes 48 hours for the fumigation to take effect.
