This means it’s a quick, not forceful thrust that is applied to the joint. This is why smaller individuals are still able to properly perform these are large individuals. It isn’t about the power of the thrust, but more about the speed applied to the joint.

What is a joint?
A joint is where two bones come together usually surrounded by a capsule that is filled with fluid. Every joint in our body is designed to move in a certain range of motion. This is called the active range of motion. There is also what is called a passive range of motion which we are ourselves are not able to engage. This is why therapists and chiropractors are used to help obtain that range of motion.

An adjustment is done to restore proper movement in a joint that is restricted or not moving properly. Chiropractic adjustments can be very dangerous so it is important that they are done by professionals.
